My fishing Life 2.0, A Rebirth...

Assalamualaikum and greetings dear friends,

It has been very tough these couple of years in terms on getting the time to do write up for this blog.  With everything seems to be settling down, I guess it is the perfect time to start again hence the title -My Fishing Life 2.0, A Rebirth-

To start of, I have had several fishing trips and have taken up Jigging. In the period of 2 years, I went from light jigging to slow pitch jigging and the catches so far has been impressive...well it may not be that impressive especially when it comes to size and quantity but it is impressive non the less.

Although jigging is so much fun and all, casting will always be the biggest part of my fishing life.  While jigging is reserved for off shore trips, casting can be done anywhere anytime.  Well, not really anywhere but you do get my point...right?

I started jigging while I was in Langkawi and had my first jigging experience during a fishing trip to Koh Adang in Thailand.  My first attempt at jigging was at night using a luminous 30 grams jig. I went through 3 storms in 4 days during the trip and on the very last day (or shall I say the last night), managed to finally land  a good size fish- a bluefin trevally.  Unfortunately the picture was in my phone that was stolen about a year ago.

Nothing to shout about with only one fish for 4 days but it was the start.  To date, I've had several jigging trips both light jigging and slow jigging and all of them was wonderful.  I've learnt so much from so many experienced anglers and made many new friends along the way.

I'll be updating this blog on weekly basis starting next week and hopefully will have interesting stories to tell with great pictures too.

Until then...stay strong, keep the lines tight and FISH ON!!!
