I'm back...

wow...it has been ages since I last write anything....combinations of everything that happened has led me to abandoned this part of my life...blogging...

Well, I'm back now...

The journey of life has many twists and turns...some you expect...others left you completely flabbergasted...

My life journey took me to Langkawi a year ago....having tried and failed in several attempts at starting new jobs, I finally land myself a job on this legendary island.  It's not high end glamorous stuffs but it'll do for now....and being an island....there are definitely fishing trips in it....hahaha...

Now on to the "fishing"

As usual, when we arrive in a new place, the first thing we do will be to familiarize ourselves with the surroundings.  In my case, its looking around for the places to fish and also to get to know as many locals as I can as they are always the best sources of information when it comes to fishing...

So begin a new chapter in my fishing life....being very used to fresh water casting, it was a welcome change of scenery as now I move on to salt water....

Starting with lonely trips around the island cost, I started making friends with locals guys near my place...most of them own a boat and the love of fishing...great news....only not so great are the fact they prefer a different method of catching fish....

I prefer casting artificial lures to predatory fishes but these locals are basically catching fish for either food or source of income and casting is not a very productive way of doing it....

It took me some time to finally find a boatman who would be able to take me out for casting trips....and what trips they are...from the shores of Langkawi to the island of Tarutao in Thailand, I had the time of my life...it was fun casting for juvenile GTs around the shores of Langkawi but more was to come when I was caught off guard by teenage GTs of Tarutao....

I have now fell in love with Jigging....I find of shore jigging to be more challenging and rewarding...my latest trip was to the sunken ship about 36 nautical miles of the shore of Langkawi where I managed to land 6 King Mackerel (Tenggiri Batang) using metal jigs....

Well,..that's about all my rambling for now...it's a nice feeling to be writting again and hopefully I'll keep this up for a very long time....

p/s: I don't have a bike here so there's only rods but no wheels yet...

Preview of my fishing adventures in Langkawi....more to come...
